COVID-19 security status
The University of Silesia has launched a system for informing about the current status off University operation and implemented security measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The University of Silesia has adopted a four-level scale, which informs about the restrictions related to teaching, scientific research, administration work and other important elements of the University activities.
The following security levels have been adopted:
- Level 0 - no restrictions, basic health and safety at work rules The University operates in the traditional mode.
- Level 1 - implementation of basic sanitary regime Mainly on-site work, implementation of restrictions in the University operation
- Level 2 - implementation of strict sanitary regime Mainly remote work, University closed for third parties, reduced mobility and contacts, increased restrictions in the University operation
- Level 3 - crisis situation The University operates remotely, except for the units that are necessary to maintain the continuity of operation. Mobility suspended. Ban on accommodation. Remote contact.
Following the example of the largest European academic centres, all University of Silesia websites have added a special information bar, which displays the message aboout the current security level.
